According to the BoA, foreign currency-denominated deposits expanded by 2.7%.

In value compared to the end of last year, foreign currency bank deposits from individuals and businesses increased by ALL 18 billion.
Influenced by remittance inflows, the foreign currency remains the most preferred currency to save.

Of the total of bank deposits, in January this year, 55.2% were in foreign currency, while the euro continues to be the preferred currency of Albanians to keep their savings. /j.p/sm/
