The Bank of Albania announces that the profit of the banking system reached about ALL 6.6 billion, at the end of the 4-month period 2021, from ALL 2.76 billion in the same period of the previous year, increasing by 138%.

This is the highest profit that the banking sector reports for this period of the year since 2017 and at the same time the second largest in the last decade.

As of December 2020, the return on equity of the system stands at double-digit levels. The average return on assets also increased to 1.28%, from 0.62% a year earlier, according to the BoA. /j.p/sm/
