The Infrastructure Minister said that “State Police and Civil Emergency crews took care of the citizens who were caught amid the winter cyclone along this national road.

According to her, efforts are underway to cope with the latest challenge as severe weather with heavy snowfall and winter storms have swept across Albania since last night, causing travel difficulties especially in rural and mountainous areas.

The Civil Emergency teams are deployed on the ground to assist citizens in the affected areas.

The road maintenance operators are working round the clock to keep road axes open to traffic.

The Albanian Road Authority has called on drivers to drive cautiously and and obey traffic signs and regulations to avoid potential accidents.
