TIRANA, Sept 24 /ATA/ Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, attended the P-TECC ministerial, organized under the auspices of the US Department of Energy.

Balluku said that this ministerial discussed the strategic cooperation between European countries and the US, the immediate and long-term measures that need to be taken to minimize the damage caused by climate change.

“Energy security was also at issue. I shared with my colleagues on the ministerial panel the experience of Albania for the diversification of renewable resources and energy security, which is already a permanent demand and action for all critical infrastructure in the energy field,” she said.
This is the third ministerial meeting and is being held in Warsaw, Poland. The program of this meeting is focused on setting climate actions and a just transition to a low-carbon future, while continuing the core of P-TECC’s mission of innovative clean energy technologies that create jobs on both sides of the Atlantic.

The Transatlantic Energy Partnership and Climate Cooperation (P-TECC) is an international platform launched to provide policymakers and civil society stakeholders in Eastern and Central Europe with the technical resources and tools to build secure, resilient energy and climate aware systems. The United States, 22 European countries and the European Union participate in the P-TECC initiative.
