TIRANA, June 12 /ATA/ From Albania to Kosovo and vice versa, the free regime of local border traffic has started to be implemented today in the space of 30 km from both sides of the border.

At the Border Crossing Point, Morinë and Vermicë, there will be dedicated lanes for free border crossing.
The two Ministers of Interior, Taulant Balla and Xhelal Sveçla, visited Morina border crossing point, to see first- hand the process.
Minister Balla said that everything is at the service of the citizens.

“Two countries, which cooperate with each other to the benefit of their citizens, whether they are citizens of Kukës, Has or Tropoja, whether they are citizens of Prizren, have the opportunity to move freely through 20 crossings, even there where there are no roads,” he added.

Balla informed that citizens can apply for border pass in e-Albania.

We have put up the signs, we have put up the signs and within 30 km there is no need for anything anymore. Issuance of passes is done through e-Albania, Kosovo through your system and everything is in order. Here you have all the crossing points, so there is no need for residents from Tropoja, Kukës or Has or from the rest of the border to come to Morina or Vërmicë. Now they have their own crossing points, near their homes, near their villages, and they don’t need a passport, an identity card, or anything,” Balla told the media.
Minister Sveçla asserted that 25 years from the day of the liberation of Kosovo work continues apace to make sure there are no borders between Albanians.

The Morina border crossing point will be a checkpoint only for citizens of third countries, citizens of Albania, citizens of Kosovo will be able to pass at any time without any checks.
