TIRANA, Aug 2 / ATA/ Minister of Interior Taulant Balla says that there will be no tolerance for watercraft users who find themselves breaching the water safety perimeters and the rules for using these boats.

In a post on his Facebook account, Balla emphasizes that the Border Police and the Maritime Police Unit are in charge of monitoring the beaches. He calls on citizens to report any case of irregular use of watercraft.

“The Border Police and the Maritime Police Unit are supervising the beaches packed with local and foreign citizens. I want to remind the users of watercraft to strictly adhere to the water safety perimeters for beachgoers, the rules for the use of watercraft and the designated areas for sailing with these modes. There will be zero tolerance under any circumstances and for no one.

I invite citizens to report any breach of the security perimeter and irregular use of watercraft to the toll-free number 112, guaranteeing a quick response, in accordance with the law,” Balla writes.
