The meeting started at 10:00hrs, in the conference room at the Ministry of the Interior. The meeting is held 2 days after Balla took office as Minister of the Interior.

Balla started off his speech saying that one of the priorities on his agenda will be support for police officers, both in financial terms and in housing.

“I will take care to increase the living standard for police officers and improve the service conditions of every police officer, from financial incentives to housing conditions when they serve outside the residence or start families, prioritizing all the families of policemen killed in the line of duty, whose children are our children. Therefore, from tomorrow we will start addressing the housing problem for those who serve outside the city where they reside and we will open the way for applications for the first 100 apartments in 2023, which will be given to new families of police officers. The criteria will be defined in the following days and will be published in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance,” said Balla.
