TIRANA, Nov 30 /ATA/ The chairman of the SP parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, reacted Wednesday over the European Council’s decision to start negotiations for visa liberalization with Kosovo.

“Although overdue, the good news comes from the European Council, which has agreed to start negotiations for the liberalization of visas with Kosovo,” said Balla.

“According to the decision, visa-free movement for citizens of Kosovo will be possible once the European travel system, ETIAS, comes into force, and the date for this is November 1, 2023. And in case there will be delays for this system , the liberalization of visas for Kosovo will enter into force no later than January 1, 2024,”
Balla emphasized in a post on social media.

“This is a really good news! Finally, a date has been set,” he said.
