TIRANA, March  31 /ATA/- By Maela Marini/ The chairman of the SP parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, confirmed that the majority is open to discuss whatever proposal with the opposition for passing the Dossier law.

In a media statement, Balla informed that the parties are close to concluding an agreement between the parties, in order to reach a consensual law.

“Our proposal is that associates of the former State Security should lose the term of the deputy right away. The opposition’s proposal makes sense, is another way. The law of decriminalization is not applied, but a new special law, whereby the intervention is done through the institution of the Authority of Files, which has not only the power of verification, but delivers the final decision, that of not allowing someone to be elected or appointed in these institutions,”  he said.

Balla emphasized that the two proposals should be merged together before coming up with the concrete legal remedy.
