“It is clearly defined that the opposition, under Article 20, has a deputy on parliamentary committees, while the next article or paragraph defines the right of the majority to have more deputies on the committees to sustain the majority and this has been a practice already in place,” Balla said, referring to the debate during the session on the composition of the parliamentary committees.

“Yet, I proposed giving more time and space for the SMI deputies who had not had the opportunity to take the necessary time to propose their committee members. I hope and believe that this act today will not be repeated in the next sessions. I made myself clear and will continue to express my opinion whenever I have the opportunity in the Albanian Parliament that the time for debates and quarrels is gone, we already have an important mandate to move forward, we have the mandate of majority, DP has the mandate of opposition, ” said Balla.

Balla said that despite the walkout of opposition from parliament we will insist on working hard and finding ways of communication and constructive dialogue, which is necessary at this stage that coincides with the beginning of new legislature and the accession processes.
