Bala said in a TV interview that a total of 37 COVID-patients are being treated at Shefqet Ndroqi University Hospital currently, with three of them being treated at intensive care and one patient is intubated. She also said that average hospital admission rate is currently three to four patients daily.

“The number of fresh infections has actually significantly decreased and the situation is more relaxed. Some 37 patients are currently being treated at our hospital, with three of them under intensive care and one intubated. We now register three to four hospitalizations a day, with patients mainly from Korça, Elbasan or Librazhd,  whereas patients from Tirana are being treated at the Infectious Diseases Hospital. The age of the patients now ranges from 50 to 80 years old,” Bala said.

She said that more than 2500 COVID-19 patients have been admitted and treated at the Shefqet Ndroqi University Hospital during a year and a half.
