TIRANA, December 10/ATA/ This year’s International Youth Day was celebrated with a special focus, appreciating the role of young people in the creative industries. In this context, the Municipality of Tirana and the Creative Industries Agency transformed the New Bazaar market into a multifunctional space, where there were held various activities.

At the Creative Industries Fair, part of the “B40 Creative Industries Youth Awards”, the visitors had the opportunity to explore the works of various artists from very close, as well as got acquainted with the first Albanian robots. The activity attracted adults and children, offering opportunities to learn about technology, crafts and businesses set up by young creators.

At the same time, there were held three discussion panels with Albanian and international experts. The discussions focused on the role of young people in the creative industries as an economic engine, the significance of innovation and the impact of technology on the sector.

The evening culminated with a Gala ceremony, where there were extended the awards for 10 different categories. Attending this special event were personalities and professionals from the creative industry. The candidates, who came from different countries in the Balkans, were young people who had built innovative businesses based on creative ideas.

“We are proud that in 1000 days we have invested in the professions of the future, such as those of the creative industry. We believe in the potential of this industry for the economy and we have managed to positively influence economic development through it,” said the Director of the Creative Industry Agency Jonid Jorgji.

From innovative technologies to awards for the most creative enterprises and social initiatives, the awards went to different countries in the Balkans, under the umbrella of the B40 network. /j.p/p.s./
