Advantage Austria Albania, a trade promotion organisation of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber that consults Austrian businesses interested in the Albanian market with important industry, import/export and market information, presented eight Austrian companies interested in accessing the Albanian market at the international fair launched by Klik Ekspo Group in Tirana.

Marlinda Zotaj, the Head of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber in Albania, told an interview with the Albanian Telegraphic Agency (ATA) that the office she heads is tasked with attracting Austrian interest in a bid to make sure that a large number of Austrian investors access the Albanian market.

According to Zotaj, Austrian business is exploring investment opportunities in Albania’s technology, agriculture, renewable energy and infrastructure sectors.

The eight Austrian companies participating in this year’s Tirana International Fair operate in the engineering, construction, food sector, consultancy and services.

Zotaj pointed out that a growing number of Austrian investors are showing interest in the Albanian market, as they are returning to the country with new projects in renewable energy, eolic energy, in addition to the insurance market, where Austrian insurance groups hold around 60 percent of insurance and banking markets share.
