TIRANA, October 18/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama has given his support to the “Donate your voice” initiative that focuses on students and people with visual disabilities.

PM Rama wrote in the social media that, “With pleasure and thanks to those who donated their voice, we created the first audio-digital library that fulfills the needs for more knowledge for students with visual difficulties. A higher admiration for Director Emiliano Lule who belongs to this social category as a real illumination on the way of many children who do not see normally”.

Minister of Education and Sports Ogerta Manastirliu announced two days ago through a video in the social media the start of a new initiative called “Donate Your Voice”.

“White Cane Awareness Day is the time to look at the world from a different perspective and think about how we can find support, inclusion and innovative solutions for people who don’t see, to turn every obstacle into an opportunity for their future.

With this aim, there was launched our Donate your Voice campaign, where throughout a year it was supported by hundreds of readers, including well-known figures of art, culture, journalism and sports, who donated their voices to create the first audio-digital library that fulfills the needs for more knowledge for visually impaired students. The voice can go where sight cannot,” said the minister.

Meanwhile, many personalities from the world of art, culture and cinema in the country have joined this initiative, simultaneously conveying meaningful messages and calls for other artists to be involved in this initiative.

Actor and lecturer Kastriot Çaushi extended an invitation for all his colleagues on White Cane Day.

“I really invite all artists and people who have sensitivity to donate their voice to these individuals.”/e.i/r.e/a.f/p.s./
