The Association of Prosecutors is the first organization of its kind established following the approval and implementation of the Justice Reform, operating within the new constitutional and legal framework for the prosecutorial system. According to the association’s announcement, it aims to provide a stable and organized structure that will serve as a reference point for significant developments, issues, and matters related to the status and role of prosecutors in the Republic of Albania.

As the justice system continues to face various challenges, a more proactive and organized approach from prosecutors is considered crucial. The main mission of the Association of Prosecutors is to safeguard and defend the status, independence, and integrity of prosecutors, while also promoting their values and role in a democratic society and the rule of law.

The Association of Prosecutors will actively engage in legislative and decision-making processes that impact the justice system, by offering professional contributions and, when necessary, taking institutional and public stances. Special attention will be given to promoting dialogue and constructive collaboration with state institutions, civil society, the media, and other stakeholders.

The Association of Prosecutors is made up of prosecutors from all the prosecutor’s offices in the Republic of Albania, who have committed to active involvement in their respective areas. Gezim Spahiu, a prosecutor, has been elected as the President of the Association of Prosecutors for its first term.
