The presentation of the artwork was accompanied by a contemporary dance performed by the Albanian-French choreographer Angjelin Preljocaj.

“Preljocaj, is a shining star in the contemporary ballet world and today he is here to welcome the French President Emmanuel Macron who is expected to arrive later in Tirana,” Rama said.

“A few days ago, the Albania’s premier Rama informed me that he was planning something special… that he wanted to present the extraordinary “L’Enlèvement D’Europe” artwork by Giovanni Domenico Cerrini and at the same time to closely intertwine it with the art of dance,” Preljocaj said.

“I want to express my grateful thanks to the Prime Minister Edi Rama for giving me the opportunity to take this risk, to show this ballet beyond this artwork,” he said.

“The Western Balkans paints and the European Union dances”, the premier Rama said.

The Berlin Process is aimed at revitalizing the multilateral ties between EU candidate and potential candidate countries of the former Yugoslavia and Albania and selected EU member states, and at improving regional cooperation in those countries on the issues of infrastructure and economic development.

It started with the 2014 Berlin Conference, which was followed by the 2015 Vienna Summit, the 2016 Paris Summit, the 2017 Trieste Summit, the 2018 London Summit and the 2019 Poznań Summit.

The Berlin Process was initiated in order to consolidate and maintain the dynamics of the EU integration process in light of increased euroscepticism and the five-year moratorium on enlargement announced by Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker.//a.i/

“Enough is Enough” is the artwork by the Kosovo artist Alban Muja, inspired by a declaration made by Bush during his visit to Tirana in 2007: “The time has come. Sooner rather than later you’ve got to say, ‘Enough’s enough; Kosovo’s independent!” conveying a strong and clear message to the international community, and recalling once again the interconnected fate of Kosovo and Albania.

The first of its kind by contemporary artist Alban Muja, the 17.5-meter long installation is designed as an iron sculpture, resembling a bridge, and it connects the two sides of Tirana’s river Lana, two of the most urban parts of the capital.

Each letter of the art installation, forming the phrase “Enough is Enough” is 1.8 meters high.

Kosovo war is commonly present in the works by Alban Muja. The latest installation is a continuation of the discourse raised by Muja in his works, putting the public in front of major issues, such as war, emigration, separation, but at the same time reflecting human values, collective solidarity, and the state of the human towards its kind.

Albania re-established diplomatic ties with the United States on March 15, 1991, 100 days after, the Secretary of State at the time, James Baker, visited Tirana to reaffirm the alliance with the US, stating “We are with you, you are with us.”
