TIRANA, Nov 29 /ATA/ The second edition of Tirana Art Weekend has transformed the capital into an open-air art exhibition, where the city breathes to the rhythm of creativity.

Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Sports, Blendi Gonxhja, emphasises that ‘Tirana Art Weekend is a well-established stop in the national cultural calendar, which began on 27 November and will continue, featuring more than 17 dedicated venues presenting 33 mini-exhibitions, premieres, new artistic programmes, and live performances by over 70 artists.

Tirana Art Weekend offers a diverse programme, inviting the public to discover, explore, and experience art in its many forms.

Through a compelling and inclusive programme, the event seeks to foster public engagement, expand access to contemporary art, and reinforce collaboration among independent visual arts practitioners, while contributing to the development of creative capacities, art market education, and the reaffirmation of Tirana’s institutional role on the national and international cultural scene, Gonxhja said in a social media post.

Gonxhja encouraged the public not to miss out on this event enabled thanks to the financial support from the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sports, as well as the provision of spaces for artists, informal groups, associations, and art organisations.

This journey through artistic spaces, cultural organisations, and local communities aims to reflect the dynamic energy of the contemporary art scene in Albania.
