2.4 times more visitors in last quarter of 2021 in northern Albania

TIRANA, Feb 18 /ATA/ During the fourth quarter of 2021, there was an increase in the number of total visitors by 89.2%, compared to the fourth quarter of 2020.

According to the report published on Friday by INSTAT on hospitality structures, the number of resident visitors accommodated in the northern region is 2.4 times higher.

While in coastal areas this indicator has increased by 2.1 times, compared to the corresponding period last year.

The number of resident visitors in “vacation accommodations and other collective accommodations” has recorded the highest increase of 2.1%.

In total, in the fourth quarter of 2021, the number of visitors is 112,993, while the number of non-residents is estimated at 103,408.

Over 4.8 mln foreign citizens visited Albania, Polish and US citizens show a growing interest

TIRANA, Sept 21 /ATA/ Over 4.8 million foreign nationals entered the Albanian territory, during the first nine months of 2021, or 2.3 times more, compared to the corresponding period of 2020.

Referring to the data published by INSTAT, during the first nine months of 2021, the countries that have the highest number of entrances in Albania are Poland and the USA, while the number of citizens from Greece who entered our territory decreased by 8.6%.

“Poland has had the largest increase by 4.6 times and the United States by 4.3 times, while Greece has recorded an increase of 8.6%, compared to the corresponding period in 2020,” the INSTAT report said.
Meanwhile, the number of Albanian citizens leaving the territory of Albania during the first nine months of 2021 is 3,223,429. This indicator, according to INSTAT, has increased by 45.9%, compared to the same period a year ago.

Over 754 thousand foreign citizens visited Albania in first 4-month period this year

TIRANA, May 25 /ATA/ The arrivals of Albanian and foreign citizens in the Albanian territory, in April 2021, marked a significant increase of 18.5 times, compared to April 2020.

In total, according to the report published on Tuesday by INSTAT, there are 466,283 foreign and Albanian citizens who entered our territory in April 2021.

The number of foreign nationals who entered the Albanian territory is 241,015 or 19.8 times higher than the corresponding month of the previous year.

“Changes in percentage of citizens’ movement indicators have been affected by the pandemic restrictions introduced in April 2020,” INSTAT informs.

According to INSTAT, the number of foreign nationals that have entered Albania during the first 4 months of 2021 is 754,796, increasing by 1.3 times, compared to the same period of 2020.

During the first quarter of 2021, among the countries with the highest number of arrivals in Albania, Kosovo has had the largest increase by 2.1 times and Switzerland by 2 times, while arrivals from Greece have recorded the most significant decrease by 4.4 times and UK by 60.1%, compared to the corresponding period of 2020.

Meanwhile, the departures of Albanian and foreign citizens from the territory of Albania, during April 2021, record 449,930, marking an increase of 18.8 times, compared to the same period a year ago.

The number of Albanian citizens leaving the territory of Albania during the first 4 months of 2021, is 961,573 from 1,110,928 in the same period a year ago. /a.a/sm/
