PRISHTINA, April 28 /ATA/ – Prishtina’s Basic Court has issued arrest warrants for Milan Radoičić and 19 others accused of war crimes against civilians.

According to the court document dated April 15 and reported by Reporteri.net, Radoičić, a former deputy leader of the Serb List part, is accused of being part of a group of Serbs participating in the killing of 106 ethnic Albanian civilians between May 7 and 10, 1999, near Gjakova. Their remains were later discovered in a mass grave in Batajnica, Serbia.

The authenticity of the court document was confirmed to Radio Free Europe by the Kosovo Special Prosecutor’s Office.

Prosecutors allege that from May 7 to 10, 1999, the group forcibly removed civilians from their homes, executed them, and held over 300 others in inhumane conditions.

Authorities say they do not know the current whereabouts of the suspects. Among them is Lazar Drashković, already subject to an international arrest warrant over the Meja massacre.

“Radoičić is also wanted in connection with the September 2023 armed attack in Banjska, which left a Kosovo police officer dead. He assumed responsibility for the attack and is widely believed to live freely in Serbia,” REL wrote.
