TIRANA, May 24 /ATA/ The government is expanding support policies that encourage young people to work in agriculture and agribusiness sectors.

Taulanti, who has returned from abroad with strong economic background knowledge, is quite impressive when he talks about his investment and the future in this sector with the enthusiasm of a young man who loves the country, work and agriculture.

He has become part of the family business in agriculture, in Lushnja, investing in construction of a warehouse in an area of 1350 m2 for fruit and vegetable collection, supported by Agricultural and Rural Development Agency (ARDA) through the IPARD II Program.

ARDA Director, Frida Krifca, saw first-hand this investment and got acquainted with the work and progress of the business run by Taulant.

“This investment serves about 600 farmers who have a safe place to trade their production, while the collection point is already an important factor for the export of Albanian fruits and vegetables in the region and beyond,” – said Krifca .

ARDA, in addition to implementing the IPARDII program, is working on the new measures of the IPARD III program, which will allocate more funds and support a wider range of sectors for financing new investments. Support for young entrepreneurs will be a priority.
Meanwhile, there are 454 young people aged 18-39, students, young farmers, or returnees from emigration from rural or urban areas of Albania, who have accessed the training packages to improve their farms, increase capacity in agricultural marketing and management, design of projects in agriculture by increasing their chances of employment, or self-employment in this sector. /a.a/sm/
