TIRANA, Aug 7 /ATA/ The government has given priority to animal farming this year, declaring all livestock farmers who have applied for the National Support Scheme for Agriculture 2023 beneficiaries of the subsidy.
The Agency for Agricultural and Rural Development announces that there are about 8,591 applicant livestock farmers throughout the country who will receive this support.

Livestock farmers have increased their confidence in the support provided by the National Scheme, a fact which is reflected in the high number of applications. This year, about 3,300 farmers have applied for the cattle scheme and 5,291 farmers have applied for the ruminant scheme. A total of 8,591 livestock farmers have applied and qualified as beneficiaries from 6,200 ones last year.

Last year, funding from the national scheme amounted to 1.5 billion ALL from about 1 billion ALL in 2021. About 6,211 livestock farmers benefited from the support scheme for 2022, compared to 4,316 livestock farmers who benefited in 2021. While this number of beneficiaries has increased by over 2 thousand other livestock farmers.

The National Scheme, applied by ARDA, supports farms with more than 100 sheep and/or goats, amounting to 1,200 ALL/head, but not more than 360,000 ALL per subject. Whereas for farms with no less than 10 cows, the support is in the amount of 10,000 ALL/head, but not more than 500,000 ALL per subject

Meanwhile, ARDA has already started the partial financing of farmers declared beneficiaries of the National Scheme 2023, in parallel for the 6 support measures.

ARDA publishes on its official website the updated list of beneficiary farmers, according to the support measures, for whom the financial support has been disbursed to their bank accounts, while the processing of other payments is under way for the 6 support measures, which are: (Registered basic herd (cattle); Registered basic herd (ruminants); Seeds, seedlings and other inputs; Beekeeping; Organic farms; Global Gap Certification.
