TIRANA, Sept  30 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama shared Thursday on social media photos from the epoch-making transformation of the Central Archive of the DPSHTRR.

Rama said that “this building has been transformed from an anti-state dreadful building into an institution that preserves in optimal conditions the written memory of 13 regional directorates at the national level, by scanning and digitizing the registers.”

The works entailed the fire protection system, interior staging, air conditioning of new contemporary systems and all the external systems works. The funds are 100% from RTSDG income.

Meanwhile, the scanning and digitization continue in parallel through the e-Archive project to reduce the number of physical documents as much as possible.

The investments will also include the transformation of the central building of DPSHTRR, which is currently working at reduced capacity after the earthquake damage.
