Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images of the newly-reconstructed building, once housing the Archdiocese of Durres.

“The former Archdiocese in the village of Delbnisht has been declared a Category II monument of culture. Built in 1905, the building of religious importance picturesquely perched on the hill of Delbnisht, in the town of Laç, and renowned priests and patriots such as Dom Nikollë Kaçorri, Rafaelo D’Ambrozio and Prend Bardhi served in it,” PM Rama said.

The built-back religious building under the EU4CULTURE program and UNOPS was inaugurated during a ceremony on Wednesday attended also by the Minister of Culture, Elva Margariti. This abandoned building after suffering structural damages due to the devastating earthquake in 2019 has now been completely restored.
