The Albanian Road Authority (ARA) announces that on the Vlora Airport road the application of asphalt layers along its entire length has completed and meanwhile work is underway to install reserve lines, lighting system and temporary vertical signage.

“The work on this site is progressing rapidly and will continue without interruption until this process is completed,” according to ARA.

The Vlora airport will encompass an area of 297 hectares. Of these, the passenger terminal area will take up 16,000 m2. The aircraft parking lot will be 46,690 m2, of which 32,000 m2 will be dedicated to 12 aircraft stands and 2,000 m2 will be taken up by the fire service area.

The Vlora airport is one of the many construction sites that are currently being developed in the Vlora district and that will have a great economic impact not only for the area, but for the entire country.

The Albanian Road Authority announced that work is in full swing on this road segment and the laying of the base layer of bituminous conglomerate has begun.

According to ARA, the works have progressed at high rate on this site where the construction of the road track has completed along with the extension from kilometer 0 to kilometer 2.5.

“All engineering works of art and the construction of the terramesh system have completed,” ARA announced.

The Palasë-Dhërmi road, 4.5 km long, is an important axis that facilitates the movement of vehicles along the south coast.

This project, in addition to installing the road signage, entails the construction of several secondary roads for access to tourist areas that are inhabited.

The new axis will widen the current segment of this track and adapt it to have access to the exit of the Llogora tunnel.

In total, the construction of the road will cost 16 million dollars. The road will be of a high category in terms of road safety, while it is expected to be completed at the beginning of the next summer season. /j.p/sm/
