Denaj stated that “under the new investment scheme, we are providing funding for hail protection nets on fruit tree groves, citrus orchards, and vineyards, covering areas from 1 to 5 hectares.”

Minister Denaj called on farmers to apply at ARDA’s central offices by September 30 for the 2025 National Investment Scheme, which provides a 50% subsidy for putting up anti-hail nets over existing fruit, citrus, and vineyard plots.

“We finance 50% of the total cost, up to 1.5 million lek per hectare. By combining the 50% grant from the scheme with a Soft Loan at only 2% interest and a sovereign guarantee covering 70% of the collateral, farmers can fully fund their investments,” Denaj said.

The Minister highlighted that the scheme helps farmers tackle climate challenges while ensuring quality production that fosters sustainable agriculture and strengthens competitiveness in international markets.

Nowadays, the use of anti-hail nets allows farmers to ensure a consistent market supply by reducing crop loss risks, enhancing quality, limiting damage, cutting agrotechnical costs, and more.
