Rama said that beginning from next week, every Monday in all the country’s schools, there will be played the national anthem before the start of the teaching process.

“And with the Anthem of the Flag that is performed by all schoolchildren today, on the 555th anniversary of the death of our National Hero Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu, as well as with the decision that the anthem will be played in every school, at the beginning of every new teaching week, I wish you a nice day”, said Rama on social media.

Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu personifies not only the most important figure of the Albanian people, but also an entire era of national history.

After years of war and resistance to the Ottoman occupation, leading the Albanians’ fight for freedom, Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu died on January 17, 1468 in Lezha.

His figure and the war he led became a source of inspiration during the wars for the freedom and independence of the Motherland and especially during the National Renaissance./p.s./
