The head of the government said that the peaks of our Alps pierce through the skies and capture the hearts of travelers who tread on them.

The Albanian Alps lie north of the Drin River and west of the lower reaches of the Valbona River (tributary of the Drin). They cover the northern part of the country and occupy about 8% of it; they have a very isolated geographical position, because the roads that connect them with other regions of the country and the Albanian territories outside the border are few and in bad condition.
The Alps include blocks, highlands, mountain ridges and valleys.
