During a joint press conference with the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, Rama emphasized that the Albanian government is in a new phase oriented towards building of the defense industry and production technology.

“We are at an important moment, where we are building a partnership with an excellent ally, which has extraordinary knowledge and very rich technological capacities. This cooperation aims to start with the production of vehicles that will serve our common goals, and then expand as much as possible,” Rama said.

He added that this development represents a major step forward for the Albanian industry and a moment of pride for the country.

Referring to the positions of the British authorities towards Albanian immigrants, Rama said that it is important to be fair in our assessments and that, although in the past there have been certain positions by specific individuals, no British prime minister has offended the Albanian people.

“We must be fair. It is not that there has been any British prime minister who has offended or pointed fingers at Albanians. Other individuals, some other individuals did. However, this is not an excuse, because they were elected by the British people by vote and in fact the curse was not very good, because the curse was returned to them and they are now outside the Parliament. Peleshi said that the conversation was very fruitful and he emphasized that cooperation with Italy in the field of defense is important for Albania as a NATO ally.
