This event was organized by initiative of President of the France-Albania Parliamentary group of friendship, MP Mireille Clapot and researcher Jean-Paul Champseix

Attending the event were MPs, members of the Parliamentary friendship groups France – the countries of the Western Balkans, French diplomats who have served in our country, as well as guests from the field of letters.

Due to the subject and the problems addressed by the novel, the debate and discussions between the writer and the participants focused on the topic of the evolution of post-dictatorial societies and the ideological conversion of these societies.

Ambassador of Albania to France Dritan Tola also delivered a greeting speech at the meeting.

Ylljet Aliçka ‘s novel “Metamorphosis of a Capital” targets the spiritual, political and social evolution of Tirana intellectuals from the ’70s until present-day. The topics it unfolds, Chekhov-like realism, lead this novel among the best achievements of all publications in post-dictatorship literature. The writer and doctor of science in Didactics Ylljet Alicka is the author of several publications in Albanian and foreign languages./k.s/j.p/p.s./

In a statement to the Albanian Telegraphic Agency-ATA, Aliçka said that,”Albania’s election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council represents a mutual achievement. On the one hand it is an achievement thanks to the efficient lobbying of the Albanian side to be elected for the first time in the history of this world organization.”

“Thanks to the efforts and lobbying, Albania has been able to become a member of the Security Council for two years in a row. The election of Albania as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council was enabled thanks to the mechanisms or standards of the UN such as, the principle of equality,” Aliçka said.

According to him, any country that demonstrates respect for UN standards and principles is a candidate for becoming a member in the Security Council.

“Apart from the aspect of reputation or recognition of Albania’s image in the international arena for at least two years, our country will have the opportunity to give opinions, as well as vote for decisions at the global level,” he said. //a.i/
