Prime Minister Edi Rama on Sunday shared footage from the medal ceremony, where Albania’s national anthem was played, praising Carja as a “talented weightlifter” and congratulating her on the achievement.

“Talented weightlifter Enkileda Carja wins gold at 2025 European Youth Weightlifting Championship, which is taking place in Madrid, breaking three European records in the 63 kg category,” PM Rama said in a post on the social media.

With a total lift of 204 kg, Carja dominated the competition and raised the Albanian flag atop the podium. Her success adds to the growing legacy of Albanian weightlifting on the international stage.
