TIRANA, Aug  27 /ATA/- At the ceremony in honor of the champion Florian Marku, the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj said that Florian could have chosen any arena, in any country in the world, but he chose Albania and Tirana to triumph. The mayor said that behind a great victory is  a lot of work, effort and sweat.

“Today I am very happy about our brother’s success. An extraordinary story, one of those stories that go even beyond fantasy, but the reality sometimes surpasses fantasy. “Behind his face is not only good luck, but also a lot of effort, sweat and relentless work,” said Veliaj.

Florian Marku defeated the Mexican Miguel Parra Ramirez on Thursday at the “Air Albania” stadium, winning the WBC Silver title.
