The memorandum was signed by the two directors of Customs Directorates, Genti Gazheli and Agron Llugaliu.
Gazheli stressed that the Memorandum is in line with agreements and protocols of cooperation in the field of customs and is expected to create facilities for business in the transit of goods.

According to the signed Memorandum, trucks in transit between the two countries will not be re-sealed at the joint border crossing point in Morina / Vernica.

If the truck departs from Kosovo for Albania and vice versa, only sealing at the departure office of Kosovo or Albania will be required.

Also, the electronic systems of the two customs administrations have been developed and adapted to the same modules on seals.

Recognition of seals by the two customs administrations will reduce the waiting time of vehicles at the Morinë / Vërnica crossing point.
