The Implementation Protocol of the Government Agreement on the Local Traffic Regime in the Border Areas between Albania and Kosovo was signed on Tuesday and allows for the free movement of citizens residing in the border areas, in 26 special border crossings.

“As of today, more than 200,000 citizens of Kosovo and Albania living in areas up to 30 km from the land border have the right to cross the border freely and stay in the border area for social, cultural, family reasons etc,” PM Kurti said in a post via the social media.

The Agreement further deepens the interstate cooperation and facilitates the interaction of citizens on both sides of the border.
