The event gathered alumni, academics, researchers, entrepreneurs, students and institutional partners, celebrating the strong academic, cultural and human ties between France and Albania.

In her opening remarks, French Ambassador to Albania Catherine Suard described the France Alumni network as a lasting bridge of cooperation and dialogue between the two countries.

She also highlighted the network’s role in strengthening Franco-Albanian relations in higher education, scientific research and innovation, as well as promoting the shared values of excellence, openness and cooperation.

A panel discussion featured experiences and success stories from prominent members of the France Alumni network.

Ylli Gjoni, an infrastructure specialist and graduate of École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées who serves as chief executive of SEED Consulting, spoke about his experience leading major engineering projects.

Architect Ersi Hoxha, who works at Le Penhuel & Associés in Paris and won the prestigious “Équerre d’Argent 2025” award, reflected on his professional journey and his vision for contemporary architecture.

Meanwhile, Flavia Osmani, a specialist in computer vision and intelligent systems, discussed the transformative role of technology and innovation in the future.

The evening concluded with a video message from Dritan Nace, professor at the University of Technology of Compiègne and co-director of Campus International UTC-UPT, who underlined the strategic importance of scientific and university cooperation between France and Albania.

Nace said the partnership reflected France’s commitment to sharing its technological university model and supporting Albania’s efforts to align with European higher education standards.

Student mobility remains a key pillar of bilateral cooperation. Through a range of programmes offered by the French Embassy in Albania, Albanian students are able to pursue academic and cultural opportunities in France, gaining professional experience, skills and expertise.

Organisers said the experience enables students returning to Albania to contribute to the country’s development by applying the knowledge and international experience acquired abroad.
