Deputy Foreign Minister Artemis Malo was invited to present the draft law to the members of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs.

In her remarks, Deputy Foreign Minister noted that Albania’s adherence to EPA aims at meeting one of the main commitments to condemn the unprovoked Russian aggression against Ukraine.

“It is also part of Albania’s obligation to defend sovereignty of Ukraine and human rights. Albania has supported the Council of Europe decision on establishment of the register of damage caused by the Russian aggression,” she said.

In May this year, the Council of Europe Summit created the Register of damage for Ukraine as first step towards an international compensation mechanism for victims of Russian aggression.
