On a Twitter post, the German senior official noted that Albanian Ambassador Hoxha has given some of the clearest, unflinching, determined statements of all, and expresses pleasure that Albania is representing Europe so well.

“Listened to two sessions of the UN Security Council and I must say: the Ambassador of Albania, Ferit Hoxha has given some of the clearest, unflinching, determined statements of all. Glad that Albania is representing Europe so well!” Lucht said as he shared the Ambassador’s statement at the UN Security Council meeting.

A resolution on Ukraine crisis, jointly proposed by Albania and the United States of America, was rejected a day ago at the UN Security Council because it was vetoed by Russia. A total of 80 UN members cosponsored the resolution and it garnered the support of 11 out of 15 members of the UN Security Council.

The document, signed by Albanian Ambassador to UN, Ferit Hoxha, and his US counterpart Linda Thomas-Greenfield, called on Russia to immediately cease its use of force against Ukraine” and “immediately, completely, and unconditionally withdraw all of its military forces from the territory of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.”
