The merger of economic operators will invest EUR 104 million in construction of this airport.
The first phase, which spans 2 years, entails the construction of the airport building and runway with an estimated value of over USD 103 million and 500 thousand.

While the second phase, which lasts 4 years, includes the development of supplementary business and tourism infrastructure with an investment value of hundreds of millions of euros.

The technical criteria meet those of category 4E, which is one of the highest categories of international airports starting from the runway which should be 3.2 km in length and up to the terminal surfaces and all other facilities that this airport should offer.

Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, has previously stated that the airport will be the home of “Air Albania” in the future.
