Rinas International Airport, which is the main gateway to the country, is ready to welcome about 20 thousand passengers, fans of the two teams playing in the final of the Conference League that are expected to arrive in Tirana.

Head of Marketing and Communication Department, Denisa Shena, told ATA that “Mother Teresa” International Airport is ready to welcome the fans who will come to watch the final on May 25.

“There will be about 20,000 people who will come mainly by charter”, said Shena.
Meanwhile, Shena reports that the number of flights is expected to increase to about 65 flights per day.

“Other than charters, there will be an increase in flights which, according to our forecasts, are expected to go up to 65 flights per day. We assure passengers that everything will be ready in terms of the service delivery, as the increase in passenger flow is not a problem for us, because we have been handling a high number of flights and passengers for several years during summer, when August sees up to 80 flights a day and we managed,” Shena said.

Meanwhile, the airport over three days will triple its staff.
