Official data from the Civil Aviation Authority show that there were 390,491 passengers travelling to / from TIA in September, of whom 64,483 were charter passengers. This figure represents 17% of the total number of passengers.

Referring to the data published by the CAA, the number of passengers who travelled by charter increased 33% compared to September 2019.

“The increase in the number of charter passengers by 33% compared to 2019 is indicative of the good management of tourist groups which have been numerous throughout September,” CAA sources say.

According to the CAA, the number of passengers travelling via Rinas airport this September recorded an increase of 15% compared to September 2019 which coincides pre-COVID-19 pandemic period.

Same sources say that the airlines with the highest flow of passengers during September are “Air Albania” and “Wizz Air.”
