Data from the Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) showed that during the July-September period, a total of 21,572 air flights were carried out, compared to 16,360 flights in the second quarter of 2023.

In the third quarter, 3,534,751 passengers traveled by airlines, compared to 2,476,244 passengers in the same period last year, marking an increase of 42.7%.

In Albanian airspace, 132,713 flights were recorded, with 83.7% of them being overflights.

During the third quarter of 2024, 28 airline companies operated, of which 27 were foreign carriers and 1 was an Albanian airline. /j.p/sm/
