The government head said that discussions are underway with Israel’s Sheba Medical Center, a global leader in health care and one of the world’s best hospitals, to launch an AI-based medical lab as part of Sheba’s labs.

In remarks at inauguration of the General Paediatric Hospital at the Mother Teresa University Hospital Centre in Tirana, the Premier said that partnership program with Sheba Medical Centre in Israel is on the right track.

“Joint work with Sheba Centre is underway at the Oncology Hospital and this partnership will expand to entire hospital centre here. In the meantime, we are also discussing plans to open a regional AI-based medical laboratory here, as part of the constellation of Sheba’s labs,” PM Rama said.

According to Rama, the planned laboratory will also open up new perspective for doctors who wish to to further contribute by employing innovation and bringing new solutions through technology.
