TIRANA, July 19 /ATA/ Agrotourism is emerging as a vital driver of socio-economic progress across regional communities, generating local jobs and revitalizing rural economies.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared in the social media views of the “N’Kanu” agrotourism in the village of Perlat in Mirdita. He appreciated that N’Kanu agritourism is a brilliant example of Albanian emigrants returning to invest in their homeland. Their vision breathes new life into rural tourism, merging traditional mountain architecture with authentic local hospitality.

“After years in emigration, Ermal Dukaj decided to return to his homeland to invest in land and family heritage, adding a new dimension to a guesthouse that dates back to 1997,” Rama wrote.

According to him, the “N’Kanu” guesthouse has expanded thanks to the support of the IPARD II program.

“With the support of the IPARD II program, he expanded the accommodation capacities and transformed “N’Kanu” into a welcoming destination for domestic and foreign visitors,” Rama emphasized.

Rama also highlighted the fact the farm produces 80% of what it supplies, which guarantees authentic, fresh food straight from the source. /m.q/j.p/p.s./

TIRANA, June 29 /ATA/ “Te Agai” agrotourism has become an attraction for locals, but also for foreign tourists.

This agrotourism is located in Gjinar, Elbasan, near Mount Bukaniku, where nature and clean air are part of the daily life of the local residents.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared today in the social media images of this investment writing that, “At 1270 meters above sea level, in one of the most picturesque areas of Gjinar, the “Te AGAI” agrotourism brings together the traditional cuisine of Elbasan, Albanian hospitality and the beauties that nature bestows upon you”.

Agrotourism “Te Agai” began with a simple idea, sharing the beauty of Albanian mountain life with others. Clean air, home-cooked meals and Albanian traditions, this way of life of the owners of this space turned into a genuine venture that has caught the attention of local and foreign holidaymakers.

Agrotourism “Te Agai” is an investment that has been made on the family land, to transform it into a destination where the connection between nature, culture and cuisine becomes absolute, among the mountains in Gjinar of Elbasan.

Through hospitality, traditional food and attractive outdoor activities, agrotourism “Te Agai” creates a space where guests can feel at home, discover something new and leave with unforgettable memories.

The government National Investment Scheme envisages a 50% grant and support from the Soft Loan combined with the Sovereign Guarantee. One can benefit from financing at a 2% interest rate and collateral coverage of up to 70%, while for mountainous areas the support is even greater thanks to the Mountain Package. /e.i/a.f/p.s./

TIRANA, May 4/ATA/ In Daias, Petrela, there is the “Nano Bio-food Resort”, founded by Kliti Nano among the green hills, an oasis of harmony between nature, organic food and warm hospitality.

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Anila Denaj shared images from this agrotourism in the social media. She highlighted the fact that the food consumed on the farm is taken directly from the resort’s greenhouses and the surrounding lands, to be cooked into carefully prepared dishes that reflect the philosophy of living as close to nature as possible.

“Beyond the experience the visitors get, this entrepreneurial model has revitalized the local economy. There are employed local residents in agriculture, culinary and service while the resort has got transformed into a sustainable source of development”, added Denaj.

The government providing facilities and support for agrotourism has led to the increase of such oases across the country in recent years, creating a new experience for many visitors, but also a new economic model in rural areas. /p.s./

TIRANA, October 30 /ATA/ Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Anila Denaj together with Minister of Tourism and Environment Mirela Kumbaro presented the National Strategy of Agrotourism in a meeting organized in Tirana, with the participation of relevant representatives of the field, various donors and experts.

Denaj said that the Strategy for Agrotourism focuses on support for the sustainable development of the sector.

According to her, the certification of local products is an important basis for the development of agrotourism

Denaj said that, “For the time being, we have certified 3 local products and we are preparing for the certification of 3 other products by the end of 2023”.

For her part, Minister Kumbaro focused on the significance of the law that, as she put it, “we need so that to formalize the sector”.

Kumbaro invited the participants to make their contribution to the Strategy for Agrotourism.

“We have fully certified with all standards 25 agrotourism enterprises, 31 have preliminary certification and are in the process, which means 50, in total. But, if you look at the application that the Ministry of Agriculture made in collaboration with GIZ, there are over 270 offers, which shows the high potential that is much more than those who received the certificate. And this is also supported by the geographical position of the country with ¾ mountains and forests because tourism is not only the coast and it should not be only that”, said Kumbaro. /r.e/p.s./

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared pictures of this agrotourism enterprise in the social media, inviting citizens to visit it.

“”Baresha”, a unique space of tradition that welcomes tourists from all over the world in Reç of the Malësia e Madhe “, wrote Rama.

“Baresha” is located about 45 minutes away from Shkodra. There are prepared and served the traditional dishes of the area, but also of Albanian cuisine. All products are obtained from the local residents living in the surrounding area. In addition to Albanian citizens, “Baresha” has become a favorite spot for foreign tourists visiting the north of the country.

The tourist potential of rural areas creates very good opportunities for the establishment of agro-tourism enterprises, which have become the preferred destination for local and foreign tourists in every season of the year.

Agrotourism has already become an engine of economic development for the remote agricultural and livestock areas and the government has oriented the promotion and incentive policies according to the demand and needs of rural entrepreneurs./k.s/p.s./

TIRANA, October 4 /ATA/ “Farm diversification is one of the most significant economic prospects for the Albanian village that we have politically targeted, also because of the average-size areas of the land.”

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Frida Krifca made the statement as she presented the model of the traditional guesthouse created by the Dragu family, in the village of Lëpushë in Malësia e Madhe, thanks to the support of the Agency for Agricultural and Rural Development (ARDA).

“This is how the Dragu family has done. The family has invested in rural tourism opening the house for visitors and not being detached from agricultural and livestock activity so that to enable a more sustainable economy for the family”, said Krifca.

Lëpushë Mountains are distinguished for their special natural beauties. With the support of ARDA, the residents of the area are transforming their homes into guesthouses that provide accommodation for various tourists and promote the development of agri-tourism in the area.

There are over 70 investment applications in the agro-tourism sector, of which the Agency for Agricultural and Rural Development (ARDA) informs that 50 are selected investments, within the IPARD II program, that will enter into contracts for grant financing from this program.

While, so far, through the IPARD II program for the measure “Diversification of farms in agri-tourism” 16 financing contracts have been concluded and the relevant investments for these projects are being carried out.

Agri-tourism has become an engine of economic development for very remote agricultural and livestock areas and incentive policies are oriented according to the demand and need of rural entrepreneurs. /j.p/r.e/p.s./

Balla stated that pavement of roads will develop the agro-tourism of the area.

“We do not have time for rest, therefore today we are in Rajca to closely follow the works that are being carried out on the asphalt paving of the main road of Rrajca. This is the first phase of a project. Our goal is the development of agro-tourism in this area. It is time to develop Rrajca,” he said.

Further on, Balla added that the families that will transform their houses into guesthouses will be financed with 5 thousand euros.
