The canteen in this agro-tourism welcomes local and foreign tourists who have the opportunity to taste quality wine and Rakia, accompanied by the taste of the traditional Albanian food.

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Frida Krifca made the statement in the meeting she held together with Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj with entrepreneurs of guesthouses and agro-tourism in the capital.

The minister said that today there are 280 registered agro-tourism units, 75 of which have been financially supported by the state budget or various programs with donors, benefiting up to 50% grant of the investment value in this sector.

Krifca emphasized that in support of this sector we will address changes in the legal basis for the certification of agro-tourism units. “We are ready to submit it to the Government for approval as another support that comes alongside the development of agro-tourism, employment and economic growth,” emphasized the minister. /gj.m/p.s./

According to statistics provided by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, during January-October period the export of the agro-industrial products increased in the amount of 2.5 billion lekë, compared with the same period last year.
