TIRANA, March 27 /ATA/ During a working lunch with farmers and entrepreneurs in the area of Shijak, Durrës, PM Edi Rama was acquainted with the experience of starting their businesses in various areas, including agriculture.

PM said that in Shijak we completed the construction of individual houses which were damaged by the earthquake.

“So far so good, the earthquake affected families have moved into their individual houses and now we will continue with the apartment buildings,” – said Rama.

Rama had a conversation with entrepreneurs about the businesses they run.

Fiqiri Klari, entrepreneur in the field of catering service, said that he is satisfied with his business attributing a part of his success to the incentives introduced by the government.”

“In the last four years I have worked with the company TAP, most recently with the company “Shell” and I am satisfied with the profits I make. Moreover, I own the company 100 percent now because before it was a joint Albanian-Croatian company,” – said Klari.

“I also deal with agriculture. I have planted about 150 ha of land with wheat, corn and soybeans which I trade in the local market.”

Another entrepreneur briefed the Prime Minister on the new approach he is applying in his tailoring company for the employment of young people who have graduated from vocational schools.

“Last year alone I hired 100 young people on a seasonal basis as part of a program with Italy for sewing sanitary clothing. We are planning to start our own confectionery brand and open stores in Macedonia and Kosovo,” said the entrepreneur.

Prime Minister said that “yet there is untapped potential for increasing production in Albania.”
“Nothing is easy, it takes time, courage and passion to make things happen,” Rama said.

While the owner of an agritourism enterprise, the domestically and internationally recognized chef Fundim Gjepali, said that “the recipes used feature local and seasonal ingredients with a part of them grown on his own farm and the rest bought from the farmers of the area.”

“Gjepali” agritourism is here at cheap prices and food to die for . This wonderful couple produces and cooks the best dishes ever, “- said Rama.
