The Agency for Agricultural and Rural Development said on Thursday that funding this year will be available to farms with at least 25 beehives.

Under the scheme, apiaries with between 25 and 150 hives will receive support of 2,000 lek per hive, while financing for apiaries exceeding the 150-hive threshold will cover 50% of eligible costs.

Agricultural Cooperation Societies will benefit from full, 100% financing, in a move aimed at encouraging greater cooperation and organisation among farmers in the sector.

The Agency urged interested beekeepers to consult the official guidelines and application procedures published on its website, adding that technical assistance is available through regional agricultural extension offices across the country.
