In a televised interview, Ekonomi stressed that, “to benefit from the tax-free oil scheme, farmers need to have a NIPT and apply on e-Albania, which is just one click away.”

According to her, for a period of one month the number of new applications for NIPT has recorded 6, 200 farmers with an increasing influx of applications that prompted us to postpone the application deadline until March 30, 2021.

She also said that all those who have a land area of no less than 0.4 ha and all those who have a farm surface area of 10 ha and who have a property certificate or lease contract are eligible for the tax-free oil scheme in agriculture.

“The goal is to help all shareholder farmers, because as we know for the most part the farms are 2 ha in surface area,” – she said.

The Minister announced that this scheme has set up a functional system which includes the application, the verification of land surface and calculation of oil. After that the farmer goes to the AREB office to get the oil card.
