Prime Minister Edi Rama shared a detailed information regarding this support scheme for farmers, which reduces the costs of agricultural mechanization.

“Good morning and with this information on how many Albanian farmers have benefited thanks to the support scheme for gasoline oil free from excise, carbon tax and circulation tax for agricultural mechanization, I wish you all a good week,” said Rama.

The tax-free oil scheme for agriculture also enhances the competitiveness of agricultural products and exports and formalizes agricultural activity.

The fund available is $ 10 million and several meetings have been held across the country to introduce this scheme.

Farmers receive free oil quantities in the equivalent of fiscal incentive. Excise 37 lek / l, circulation tax 27 lek / l, carbon tax 3 lek / l, which together with VAT total 80.4 lek / l are deducted from annual oil price.

The application is made online on the e-Albania portal, with self-declaration by the farmer himself.

Currently there are 33% more farmers equipped with NIPT, while the beneficiaries by regions are: In Berat region 1705 beneficiaries; in Dibra region there are 984 beneficiaries; in the region of Durrës 639 beneficiaries; in Elbasan region there are 1557 beneficiaries; in Fier there are 5186 beneficiaries; in Gjirokastra region there are 520 beneficiaries; in Korça region there are 5802 beneficiaries; in Kukës region there are 78 beneficiaries; in Lezha region there are 258 beneficiaries; in Shkodra region there are 882 beneficiaries; in Tirana region there are 915 beneficiaries; in Vlora region there are 687 beneficiaries.

The area of cultivated land for which free oil was benefited is 56,500 ha, while after the application each recipient was provided with an oil card. /m.m/j.p/sm/

“Every AREB office and Agripoint is open to assist anyone who still needs to complete the documentation and application on e-Albania,” said Ekonomi.

Farmers continue the application until March 30, 2021, on the e-Albania portal to receive free oil for agriculture. This is a process that aims to help the farmer running a plot up to 10 ha but it benefits even those with an area over 10 ha. The goal is to support shareholder farmers.

Oil for farmers will no longer have the excise tax (37 lek), the circulation tax (27 lek) and the environmental impact tax (3 lek).
