The agreement was signed by Albania’s Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Anila Denaj, and her Turkish counterpart Ibrahim Yumakli in a ceremony in Tirana on Thursday.

The declaration aims to establish a new insurance model for Albanian agriculture, similar to Türkiye’s Agricultural Insurance Pool (TARSİM).

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said in a press release that the agreement will deliver significant benefits to Albanian farmers, providing stronger financial support and a more stable environment for the agricultural sector.

The partnership agreement also provides a new framework of the bilateral institutional exchanges and deeper relations in the area of agriculture insurance policies with a concrete and direct impact on sustainable development of Albania’s agriculture.
