Peleshi said in his remarks that “this agency is a structure of special importance in fulfilling the constitutional mission of protecting the country.”

“The Defense Intelligence and Security Agency intelligently supports the management and strategic command authorities of the Armed Forces in the field of detection, counter-intelligence, security at the strategic level and operations in fulfilling their constitutional mission,” emphasized Peleshi.
Peleshi underlined that, “the purpose of these legal changes is related to the creation of conditions for AISM to carry out its mission in accordance with the law, to regulate relations with other law-enforcement structures and to improve the financial treatment and qualification of its own employees”.
