Prime Minister Edi Rama shared Sunday on social media pictures of the Funari lake dotted with canoes.
“In Funar of Elbasan, in addition to the beauty of nature, another type of attraction is taking shape, adventure sports,” Rama writes in the caption below the images from this lake.

Rama said that hiking and canoeing are adventure sports that are attracting the attention of hundreds of local and foreign tourists ready to get the adrenaline going and spend energy playing these sports.
In Funar, apart from the beauty that nature offers, you can practice adventure sports such as parachuting, kayaking on the lake, horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking and climbing mountain trails.

Likewise, during the past year, work has also started on the parachuting track, the opening of 75 km of mountain trails, as well as the construction of the visitor information point.
Funar is rich in forests, it also boasts four lakes, of which two are located inside the village and two others are nestled in the picturesque mountains.

Until recently, Funari was almost consigned to oblivion due to underinvestment, since it took three hours to get to the destination, while today it takes only 1 hour.

Rich in pine and oak forests, Funari offers a healthy climate. Added to that, the traditional cuisine of the area makes it the ideal place to spend the weekend.
